EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS - DWAIN MISSES OUT ON MEDAL
Jul 29, 2010

British athlete Dwain Chambers missed the opportunity to win gold at the European Championships
Dwain finished a disappointing fifth in the 100m final held in Barcelona yesterday. Christophe Lemaitre who ran for France finished first in a time of 10.11secs.
England hopeful Mark Lewis-Francis finished second with a time of 10.18secs to secure himself a silver medal. Lewis-Francis, 27, gave credit to his coach Linford Christie for his surprised victory.
Chambers took the defeat in his stride and also gave some credit to his team mate: “Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose but I'm happy for Mark, he's had to fight hard to get here.”
